P90X The Extreme Workout

The P90x system from beach body, is one of the most intense workouts I've ever come across, and I consider myself to be in pretty decent shape. This program is basically broken down into 3 different stages, the exercises in the first 2 pages change between phase 1 and 2, in the 3rd phase you alternate exercise on different days. The program is based off of the muscle confusion concept, where the muscle never gets used to the exercises, thus never going into the plateau effect, which is basically where the muscles get so used to the exercises that the stop growing.

This program is not for beginners, it truly is a serious program. You should be able to past the fitness test, and be in some sort of shape before you attempt this program. If you think you're ready then it's just a matter of jumping in and going after it. The program is much more than just exercise though, it comes with a nutrition guide that is vital to the true success of the program. A buddy over at doesp90xreallywork has a really nice all around blog, but this post P90X really does a great job of explaining the importance of following the nutrition guide whole heartedly. Follow the nutrition guide and you should have no problem getting the Ripped Abs you're looking for.
